Messi Tells Quique Setien Who To Sign As Suarez Replacement

Messi Tells Setien Sign Suarez Replacement

Lionel Messi has reportedly asked Barcelona to sign his compatriot Sergio Aguero to replace Luis Suarez, who will be out of action for a few months due to a knee injury.

The Mirror reports that Messi has asked Barcelona manager Quique Setien to sign Aguero as Suarez’s replacement but the Blaugrana are yet to approach him.

Aguero is currently valued at €65 million according to Transfermarkt and has been in brilliant form this season, scoring 20 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions for Manchester City so far.

Obviously, the 31-year-old’s experience and quality would be a fine addition to Barca’s squad.

However, it is not certain that the Catalan giants will want to make a move for Aguero since they have players who are capable of playing in that position.

Antoine Griezmann is one of them since he played as a centre-forward for Atletico Madrid, thus he would be an ideal replacement for the Uruguayan international.

With the Frenchman playing as a centre-forward, Ansu Fati, or even Ousmane Dembele, can play as a left-winger.
