Mikel Obi is now “without a club” and he is on the market for 3.5 million Euros after he cost Chinese club Tianjin Teda 11 million Euros, according to Transfermarkt.com
The Super Eagles captain was listed as clubless since Thursday, January 3, 2019.
The 31-year-old midfielder joined Tianjin Teda in January 2017 on a three-year contract as a free agent and so his contract has been terminated with a year to spare.
This last season, the former Chelsea star’s appearances were limited due to injuries as his Chinese Super League side only escaped on the last day of the season.
In 2013, Mikel was valued on the transfer market at 23 million Euros.
